Norfolk, VA-Old Dominion sophomore heavyweight Derrell Lorthridge (Wilmington, DE) and freshman John Adams (Chesapeake, VA) earned the CAA wrestler of the week and rookie of the week award today.

Lorthridge won two CAA bouts last week to improve to 15-9 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

Adams, a 165-pounder from Deep Creek, wrestled two bouts at 184 last week and captured two wins. The true freshman upset defending CAA Champ Dave Colabella of JMU and pinned Jon Carlisle of Campbell to up his record to 9-8 overall.

ODU will be back in action on Thursday night, when they host their scholarship match against the University of Maryland.
