Norfolk, VA-The Old Dominion wrestling team will host their scholarship match on Thursday, February 14 against the University of Maryland at the ODU Fieldhouse.

Maryland will enter the contest with a 9-3 record, fresh off a 20-16 win over ACC rival Duke. The Terps are led by a trio of outstanding seniors: Brandon York (141), Joe Guzzio (133) and Josh Weidman (165).

Maryland defeated the Monarchs 28-21 last year at College Park.

Old Dominion is currently 1-8, but has struggled to maintain a regular lineup due to numerous injuries. The Monarchs won their last match against Campbell, 28-11,and finally appear to be healthy once more.

Senior Jeff Rusak (Reading, PA) leads the team with a perfect 24-0 record and is 9-0 in dual meets. He is currently ranked fourth in the country at 174 and is undefeated in dual meet competition during his time at ODU.

Also faring well for Old Dominion is local product John Adams (Chesapeake, VA), a 165 lb. wrestler who picked up two wins at 184 last week. Adams defeated CAA Champ Dave Colabella of JMU and pinned Jon Carlisle from Campbell to up his record to 9-8.
