Robinson Takes Title While Moeder and Miller Place at Edinboro Open

EDINBORO, Pa. - Redshirt freshman Jerome Robinson won the title at 125 pounds while two other Monarchs placed at the Edinboro Open over the weekend. Two additional Monarchs placed in the event as freshman Taylor Moeder took second at 141 pounds and redshirt junior Brett Miller came in sixth at 165 pounds. Moder, who was the top seed at 141, advanced to the finals with a pin of Ohio's Tyler Heminger, an 8-1 decision over Indiana's Eric Roach and an 11-3 major decision over Central Michigan's Christian Cullinan. He fell to third-seeded Joseph Stanzione of Cornell in the final, 8-3. Also competing for the Monarchs was sophomore Scott Festejo at 133 pounds and redshirt freshman Matt Tourdot at heavyweight. Festejo went 3-2 while Tourdot went 2-2 in the event. Old Dominion returns to action on Friday at No. 19 Binghamton in their final CAA dual of the season. The Monarchs conclude the regular season with a match at No. 20 Virginia on Sunday, Feb. 19.
