NORFOLK, VA - The Old Dominion wrestling team, winners of three straight dual meets, are ready for the upcoming Colonial Athletic Association Championships March 5-6. The Championships will be hosted by Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. The Monarchs finished 9th place in last year's tournament. ODU currently has a 7-12 overall record and a 5-3 mark in CAA action, marking the first time in three years the team has had a winning conference record. Redshirt Senior Jesse Pearce (Norfolk, VA) was named CAA Co-Wrestler of the Week this past week along with George Mason's Mitch Webster, marking the second time this season that a ODU wrestler has earned the honor. Adam Wright (Dayton, VA) earned Co-Wrestler of the Week honors earlier this season along with GMU's Adrian Austin. Keep checking back at ODUSports.com for updates on the tournament.
