FARGO, N.D. - Old Dominion University's incoming freshman wrestler Kevin Beazley made it to the finals at 182 pounds of the Junior Greco-Roman tournament at the Fargodome on Tuesday. The tournament in Fargo is the largest for amateurs in the country.

Beazley (Novi, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central) fell in a tightly contested final match (2-0, 1-0) to Illinois' Sam Brooks who is bound for the University of Iowa in the fall.

The incoming Monarch grappler cruised through his side of the bracket early as he pinned Geoffrey Curtis of Colorado in 29 seconds and then quickly disposed of Alaska's Alex Medeiros in 24 seconds with another fall.

Beazley the registered three consecutive technical falls over Marlyand's Daniel Hawkins (8-1, 7-0), California's Taryn Christiansen (6-0, 7-0) and Kansas' Tanner O'Donnell (7-1, 7-0).

Paired up with Oklahoma's Nolan Boyd, Beazley took care of him with a pair of 5-1 decisions and then again defeated Maryland's Hawkins and Oklahoma's Boyd to advance to the finals of 182 pounds against Brooks.
