NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University wrestling team sent eight unattached wrestlers to compete in the N.C. State Open in Raleigh, N.C. this weekend. 

True freshman Kevin Beazley went 3-1 on the weekend and earned himself a second place finish at 197 pounds.

Jack Dechow, a 184-pound freshman from Richmond, Illinois finished the weekend with a 4-1 record and a third place finish.

125 pound redshirt freshman, Buddy Scarborough went 2-2 on his way to a fourth place finish, while Joe Jessen (174) also placed fourth after going 3-2 on the weekend.

Michael Hayes and Lucas Ryan both went 3-2 over the weekend, while Tanner Tinsley and Josh Clark both dropped their first two matches.
