NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion University wrestling team hosts their first dual of the 2011-12 season on Sunday when eight-time team champion No. 21 Iowa State visits the Ted Constant Convocation Center at 1 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for youth and all ODU students get in for free.

The Monarchs (3-1) won two of there three duals last weekend at the Wrestle for a Cure Duals in Harrisburg, Pa. ODU defeated Buffalo, 24-15, and Cleveland State, 29-9. The Monarchs dropped a decision to No. 13 Ohio State, 30-3.

ODU has been led this season by a pair of wrestlers currently ranked in the top-15. Senior Te Edwards is currently ranked No. 10 at 174 pounds and is 7-1 on the season with a title at the Hokie Open on Nov. 6. Redshirt sophomore John Nicholson comes in at No. 14 this week and boasts a record of 7-2 with four major decisions.

No. 21 Iowa State (0-2) has gotten off to a slow start so far this season, dropping dual meets to Army, 23-22 and Boston University, 21-16. The Cyclones do feature five ranked wrestlers in their line-up with two grapplers in the top-10 in No. 6 Andrew Sorenson at 165 pounds and No. 7 Chris Spangler at 174 pounds.
