Back from Arizona, wrestler finding success with Monarchs

NORFOLK

A year ago, Te Edwards was wrestling for Arizona State and struggling to find his way on and off the mat.

Today, Edwards leads Old Dominion in a match at No. 16 Rutgers, and his struggles are long gone.

Ranked in the top 10 in several polls - No. 7 by Amateur Wrestling News, No. 8 by WrestlingReport.com and No. 9 by InterMat Wrestling - Edwards' road to stardom has been long.

After winning a 2008 state title at Cox, Edwards bolted for the desert, passing over ODU and signing with Arizona State, saying it was "a good fit at the time."
