LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Old Dominion wrestler Adam Wright (Dayton, VA) has been named CAA Co-Wrestler of the Week for his performances this weekend in ODU's dual matches against UNI and the Citadel. Wright, a senior at 197 pounds from Dayton, VA won both of his bouts, including a 7-3 decision over Andrew Anderson of the 21st ranked University of Northern Iowa.

This is Wright's second time receiving the honor of wrestler of the week. He was also a 2004 NCAA qualifier, and as a freshman Wright was named to the preseason CAA All-freshman team.

He is currently in third place in the conference with a 10-3 overall record and a flawless 5-0 dual record. Last weekend on top of his win over his UNI competitor, Wright defeated the Citadel's Mark Thompson 3-2 with an escape in the second period and a last minute takedown in the final seconds of the third period. He has faced tough competition from Maryland, Slippery Rock, UNI and Edinboro. This season so far Wright placed sixth at both the Missouri Open and Mat Town USA.
