Norfolk and the Ted Constant Convocation Center are one of 16 sites for the first and second rounds of the NCAA^® Division I Women's Basketball Championships in 2010 along with Maples Pavillion (Stanford), Haas Pavillion (Berkeley), Cameron Indoor Stadium (Duke), Thompson-Boling Arena (Tennessee), Freedom Hall (Louisville), Bank of America Arena (Washington), Donald L. Tucker Center (Florida State), Wells Fargo Arena (Arizona State), James H. Hilton Coliseum (Iowa State), Frank Erwin Center (Texas), Cintas Center (Xavier), Williams Arena (Minneapolis), Lloyd Noble Center (Oklahoma), Joyce Center (Notre Dame), and Petersen Events Center (Pittsburgh). The Ted Constant Convocation Center has played host to the NCAA^® Tournament four times since its opening in 2002 with the first and second rounds in 2003, 2006, and 2008, as well as the Mideast Regional in 2004.
