NORFOLK, Va. (AP) (March 5, 2000) -- Hamchetou Maiga scored 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds March 5 as No. 14 Old Dominion completed another unbeaten regular season in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 70-47 victory over Virginia Commonwealth.

The Lady Monarchs (23-4, 16-0) ran off to an 11-0 lead in the first eight minutes of the game before Virginia Commonwealth scored, a free throw by Tawanda Washington.

But the Rams (15-14, 9-7) didn't get much more, shooting a dismal 14.3 percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes and trailing 32-11 at the half. Old Dominion led by more than 20 points throughout the second half.

Nicole Bellinghausen scored 11 points for the Lady Monarchs, and Sharron Francis added 10 as Old Dominion extended its CAA victory streak to 99 games.

Kristine Austgulen scored 11 points for the Rams, and Liz Remus added 10.
