NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion women's basketball team will face Washington in the first round of the 2001 NCAA Division I Championship, as announced by the NCAA on Sunday afternoon.

The Lady Monarchs, 21-8, have been announced as the No. 11 seed in the West Regional. They will face the 19-6 Huskies, a No. 6 seed, on the campus of the University of Florida on Friday, March 16. The bracket's second round game, also in Gainesville, is set for Sunday, March 18.
