NORFOLK, VA- Former Lady Monarch greats Ticha Penicheiro ('98) and Hamchetou Maiga-Ba ('02) are with new teams this season in the WNBA.

Peneicheiro, the WNBA's all-time assist leader with 2,194 is averaging 3.2 assists and 1.8 points per game for Los Angeles through five games. The four-time WNBA All-Star has 2,362 career points and 688 career steals. She was named to the CAA 's 25th anniversary All-Time Women's basktball team and the Silver Star All-time CAA squad.

Hamchetou Maiga-Ba is now with the Minnesota Lynx where she is averaging 5.3 points per game, 1.0 steals and 4.6 rebounds per game. She has 1,380 career points, 246 career steals and 628 career rebounds. Maiga was named to the CAA's 25th anniversary squad.

A third Lady Monarch great, Hall of Famer Anne Donovan ('83) is the head coach of the New York Liberty.
