MINNEAPOLIS, MN-- Former Old Dominion University All-American Ticha Penicheiro ('98) handed out seven assists to go along with ten points to become the WNBA's all-time assist leader with 1,322 as the Sacramento Monarchs defeated Minnesota, 60-50 on June 17th. She passes WNBA great Teresa Weatherspoon on the leagues all-time list.

Penicheiro, who helped lead the Lady Monarchs of ODU to the 1997 NCAA title game is currently averaging 5.0 points and 4.9 assists per game for Sacramento. She currently ranks second in the league in assists and 11th (1.9) in steals.
