BELLINZONA, SWITZERLAND - Lucienne Berthieu (Rennes, France) scored 23 points and Shareese Grant added 11 as the Old Dominion University Lady Monarchs defeated the Bellinzona Club team from Switzerland, 99-59 in the first game of their Italian/Switzerland tour.

Bellinzona led 21-20 at the end of the first quarter, but the Lady Monarchs outscored them 34-9 in the second quarter to take a 54-30 halftime lead. Berthieu scored 15 of her 23 points in the first half.

The Lady Monarchs return to action on Saturday, Aug. 18 when they play Add Illirija Slovenian Club team in Schio, Italy. The five-game/ten day tour concludes on Aug. 24th. For photos of the trip click on www.odusports.com and click on women's basketball.
