    NORFOLK, VA. (Nov. 3, 2000) -- Sophomore guard Okeisha Howard (Va. Beach, Va.) poured in 31 points and sophomore Kim Giddens (Painter, VA.) added 24 more as the Lady Monarchs of Old Dominion defeated M.I. Express, 115-70 in an exhibition contest Friday night.

    Tiffany Thompson (Clinton, Md.), Sharron Francis (W.Lanham, MD.) and freshman Corrina Turner (Miami, Fl.) each scored ten points. Turner also hauled in a game high eight rebounds. Francis led with 13 asssists and five steals while Alli Spence (Lafayette, Co.) dished out nine assists to go with nine points.

    As a team, the Lady Monarchs shot .661 (41-62) from the floor, while M.I. Express shot only .348 from the floor. Old Dominion returns to action on Tuesday night when they host Basketball Travelers from Lithuania in their final exhibition contest. Game time in 7:35 p.m.
