NORFOLK, Va. -- The Lady Monarchs take to the hardwood for their final exhibition contest when they take on M.I. Express on Tuesday, November 7th at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. Tip-off is 7:00 p.m.

The Lady Monarchs defeated Team Concept,102-61, in their other exhibition showing of the year as Old Dominion had five in double figure. Sophomore forward Tiffany Green (Chesapeake, Va.) led the team with 15 point on 6-of-7 shooting from the floor and a 3-of-4 effort from the line. Junior Tay Ransburg (Kansas City, Mo.) captured a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

The M.I. Express roster currently features three former Lady Monarchs in Lawona Davis ('06), Shareese Grant ('05), and Stephanie Gilmore ('93).

The Lady Monarchs, who are ranked 18th in the preseason Street & Smith poll and receiving votes in the WBCA/ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll, open the season on Sunday, November 12th at 1:30 p.m. at Virginia. The Lady Monarchs will help the Cavaliers open their new building, the John Paul Jones Arean. Old Dominion's first home game will be on Saturday, November 18th at 4:00 p.m. when the Lady Monarchs host No. 16 Kentucky on Homecoming.
