NORFOLK, VA. (Nov. 7) - Sophomore Okeisha Howard (Va. Beach, Va.) scored 21 points and dished out seven assists to lead Old Dominion University to a 91-53 exhibition win over Kaunas Lithuania Tues., Nov. 7.

The Lady Monarchs, ranked 12th in pre-season will open the regular season this Sunday (Nov. 12) against No. 10 Penn State in the State Farm Tip-Off Classic in Hartford, Ct. Game time is 1:30 p.m.

Four Lady Monarchs scored in double-figures. Kim Giddens (Painter, Va.) scored 15; Tiffany Thompson (Clinton, Md.) scored 14 points with a game high ten rebounds; and newcomer Marianthi Koukouvinou (Stockholm, Sweden) scored 13 points. The Lady Monarchs shot .521 (38-73) from the floor and forced Lithuania into 39 turnovers.

Rita Spultauskaite led Lithuania with 13 points and Jurga Budrythe added ten points with six rebounds.
