PRINCETON, NJ - Corey Picketts goal with 5:07 left in the match lifted Princeton University to a 2-1 victory over top seed and defending National Champion Old Dominion in the Regional Final of the NCAA tournament. The Lady Monarchs finish the season with a 18-5 record, while Princeton advances with a 16-2 mark.

The Tigers, who defeated Old Dominion earlier in the year, 2-1 got on the scoreboard first as Ilvy Friebe, the nations leader in points scored (71) on an assist from Nataly Martirosian with 26:33 left in the half. Old Dominion came back to tie the match as Lynn Farquhar (Alexandria, Va.) scored on an assist from Melissa Leonetti (Erdenheim, Pa.) with 18:25 left in the half.

In the second half, Pickets had the ball on the left side of the net dribbled around the front and punched it in for the game winner. Old Dominion outshot the Tigers, 14-8. Princeton goalie Kelly Baril came up with nine saves in front of the net.
