NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion field hockey team moved up in both polls this week after earning an 8-1 victory over Radford and a 1-0 overtime conference win against Northeastern. The Lady Monarchs moved up a spot in the STX/NFHCA Coaches Poll to No. 13, while they moved up two spots in the Women's Field Hockey.Com Poll to No. 11.

Old Dominion is currently riding a three-game winning streak with a 4-5 overall mark. The Lady Monarchs take on Towson and No. 18 Delaware in CAA action this weekend on the road. Old Dominion takes on the Tigers on Friday, September 28th at 4:00 p.m. at at Villa Julie College Field and the Fightin' Blue Hens on Sunday, September 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Rullo Stadium.

In the STX/NFHCA Coaches Poll, the Lady Monarchs have already faced five members of the Top Ten and await a contests with conference rival No. 7 James Madison along with rematches with No. 1 North Carolina and No. 2 Maryland.

Along with Old Dominion and James Madison, two fellow CAA schools also appear in the poll. Delaware remains in the Top 20 falling to No. 18 following a 1-0 loss to James Madison. The Tribe of William & Mary continues to receive votes.

Five members of the Women's Field Hockey.Com Poll have also been Lady Monarch opponents this season. Maryland still tops the poll, followed by North Carolina at No. 2. The Dukes of JMU are right behind Old Dominion at No. 12, while Delaware fell out of this week's top 20.
