NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion University field hockey team made a statement for breast cancer awareness on Friday, Oct. 17 when they donned pink and white uniforms, courtesy of Under Armour, in the fight against breast cancer.

Despite the dismal weather, the Lady Monarchs jerseys netted $510 for the Komen Tidewater service area, from a silent auction held throughout the game. In addition to the jerseys, former Lady Monarch standout and 2008 Olympian Dana Sensenig donated an autographed poster from the Olympic Games and her closing ceremony warm up jacket to the auction. Old Dominion University's Zeta Tau Alpha sorority supported the game by providing educational materials and pink ribbons to all fans.
