Emily Harting Selected to U.S. Women's Junior National Indoor Team

NORFOLK, Va. - Freshman back Emily Harting of the Old Dominion University field hockey team was selected to the U.S. Women's Junior National Indoor Field Hockey team earlier this month. Harting (Lititz, Pa.) started in eight games for ODU in 2012 and played in 19 contests for the Lady Monarchs. Her first collegiate goal came in overtime against William & Mary on Oct. 24 on a penalty stroke to give ODU this victory. The U.S. will send a team to the 2014 Indoor Pan Am Cup in an effort to qualify for the 2015 Indoor World Cup. Members of the Indoor National squad will also represent the U.S. in additional international and domestic competitions throughout the year. The squads begin competition in the coming months in Europe.
