LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Old Dominion University women’s golf team shot a team total of 304 and are in second place after the first of two days in the Bison Invitational at the Paiute Golf Resort. Samantha Morrell and Gemma Fuster both shot a 75 and are currently tied for seventh place.

Elizabeth Haycock and Kimberley Bradbury both shot a 77 today and are currently tied for 17th place. Charlotte Hindmoor shot a 37 on the back-nine to complete her first round with a score of 78.

Radford’s Alexandra Austin shot a 34 on the front-nine and a 36 on the back; Austin ended round one in sole possession of the individual lead.

The only team that shot better than the Lady Monarchs today was Nova Southeastern University. Nova Southeastern shot a 296 as a team in day one. The Lady Monarchs (304) have Southern Utah (306), Southern Illinois (307) and Radford (309) as their closest oppents entering day two.

The final day of the Bison Invitational will begin tomorrow with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. EST.
