Culhowee, NC- Senior Alexis Garduno shot a 73 in the first round and is just four strokes behind the leader at the Great Smokies Women's Golf Tournament. ODU is eighthwith a 300, just nine strokes back of tournament leader and host Western Carolina.

Kristen Hagan is tied for 34th with a 75. Carley Rhyne of Tennessee Tech leads the tournament with a 69.
