NORFOLK, VA--The Old Dominion University women's golf squad was named the 2011-12 ODU Scholar Team of the Year.

The Lady Monarchs, coached by Carol Robertson, compiled a 3.4 grade point average for the Year. The team members include Kimberley Bradbury (Derbyshire, England), Connie Farmer (Toronto, Ontario), Gemma Fuster, (Barcelona, Spain), Kristen Hagan, (Charlotte, NC), Elizabeth Haycock (Birmingham, England), and Samantha Morrell(North Kingstown, RI.).

The Lady Monarchs just completed their most successful season ever with six top five finishes and two tournament wins. ODU won both the Towson and Hoya Tournaments along with a second place finish at UNCW Seahawk Classic, third at the Pinehurst Challenge and fifth at the CAA Championships.
