Norfolk, VA-The seventeenth-ranked ODU women's lacrosse squad defeated CAA foe Hofstra this afternoon, 16-8. Old Dominion improves to 4-2 while the Pride falls to 1-3.

The Old Dominion attack was fueled by sophomore Suzanne Wosczyna (Phoenixville, PA) and junior Danielle Hensil (Havertown, PA). Wosczyna tallied two goals with five assists and Hensil scored five goals and assisted on one other.

Overall, seven different Lady Monarchs found the back of the net, including senior Kendra Finger (Boyertown, PA) and freshman Melody Shotwell (Fairfax Station, VA).

Hofstra's Kristin Marshall and Melissa Hedrick scored two goals each.

The Lady Monarchs held a 26-20 shot advantage and a 11-10 edge in ground balls.

Old Dominion will be back in action tomorrow when they host Temple at noon.
