NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion University women's lacrosse game at Richmond has been moved up to Tuesday, March 5 at 5:00 p.m. at Robins Stadium due to impending winter weather forecasted in the area. The game was originally schedule for Wednesday at 4 p.m. 

Old Dominion (1-3) is coming off a 14-4 setback at Jacksonville on Saturday after winning last Tuesday over rival William and Mary, 15-9. Richmond (1-5) was edged out on the road by No. 19 Navy on Saturday, 12-8. All five of the Spiders' losses are to ranked opponents in No. 4 Maryland, No. 7 Duke, No. 5 North Carolina and No. 8 Virginia.

The Lady Monarchs are led offensively by sophomore midfielder Ashmore Standing who has nine goals while junior attacker Emily Austerberry has added six goals and two assists. Senior attacker Meredith Rogers leads the team with three assists and is tied for third in goals with four along with sophomore midfielder Christina Rea who has a team-high 10 draws. Defensively, junior Kallie McCormick leads the team with eight caused turnovers while senior Carolyn Burns leads all players with 13 groundballs. In goal for ODU, sophomore Karen Hayde recorded a career-high 14 saves at Jacksonville on Saturday and has 32 saves on the year while allowing 64 goals.

For Richmond, senior attacker Sam Stevenson has 16 goals and six assists along with 15 draws while redshirt senior attacker Caitlin Fifeld has 14 goals and eight assists to power the Spiders' attack. In goal for U of R, sophomore Emily Boyce has allowed 80 goals while collecting 50 saves in six starts.

ODU is 24-16 all-time against Richmond but the Spiders have won three in a row and seven of the last eight in the series including last season's 19-12 victory in Norfolk.
