NORFOLK, VA -- Old Dominion junior midfielder Suzanne Wosczyna (Phoenixville, PA) was named the Colonial Athletic Association's (CAA) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week it was announced on Wednesday. Wosczyna helped the Lady Monarchs to a season opening 16-11 victory over American scoring five goals and recording five assists.

Wosczyna, who led Old Dominion, the CAA, and the nation in scoring last season, also tallied the game-winner while scooping up three groundballs and collecting four draws. Her five goals also moved her into seventh on the ODU all-time goals scored list with 109 career nets.

The Lady Monarchs, ranked 19th in the latest IWLCA Poll, return to action this afternoon against #8 Virginia at 4:00 p.m. and travel to UMBC on Saturday.
