Lady Monarchs Host Richmond In Home Opener Wednesday

RICHMOND, Va. - The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team will host Richmond on Wednesday, March 11 at 4 p.m. in its 2010 home opener at the Powhatan Sports Complex. The Lady Monarchs (0-1) posted an impressive 7-1 mark in their first year playing at Powhatan in 2009. ODU opened the 2010 season with a 12-10 loss at American Saturday. Seniors Ashley Kellogg and Nicole McMahon paced the Lady Monarchs with three goals each. Richmond also played American in their last outing, picking up a 12-10 win on March 3. The Spiders had lost their previous four games to open the 2010 season, but two of the losses came at the hands of nationally-ranked foes. Old Dominion is 23-12 all-time against Richmond, including a 16-13 win in Norfolk a year ago.
