NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion University Women's Lacrosse team concludes their road trip on Wednesday when they face Navy at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium at 3 p.m. in Annapolis, Md.

ODU (1-3) and Navy (8-1) will meet for the first time in the programs’ history as the Lady Monarchs are coming off a stretch where three of four games are away from home. On Saturday, ODU scored five unanswered goals to take a late lead at Oregon but the Ducks scored the game-winner with under a minute to go to claim the 10-9 win.

The Lady Monarchs are lead offensively this season by senior midfielder Rebecca Hartrum who has nine goals and an assist on the year. Meanwhile, senior midfielder Lisa Bernardini has eight goals and five assists while senior midfielder Sarah Wright and sophomore midfielder Emily Austerberry each have seven goals apiece. Senior goalkeeper Sarah Geary has 32 saves in goal while freshman Karen Hayde has seen action in each of the last two games and picked up seven saves for ODU.

Navy recently established a program record with their eighth straight win on Monday is a 19-8 win over Iona and is led by junior Jasmine DePompeo who has tallied 15 points over the Mids’ last two games. DePompeo leads the nation in both total points (42) and assists (22). Navy has four players with over 20 goals each while Elaina Ponchione has started all nine games in goal and recorded 48 saves.
