Lacrosse Garners All-CAA Honors
April 19, 2002 Richmond, VA-Old Dominion women's lacrosse coach Sue Stahl has been named the CAA Coach of the Year and three Lady Monarch players have been named to the all-conference teams. Stahl earned the top honor among the coaches by guiding Old Dominion to a school-record 12-4 mark and a 6-2 finish in the competitive CAA. This is the second time Stahl has won the award, having also been honored in 1993. Sophomore Suzanne Wosczyna (Phoenixville, PA), the CAA's top scorer, earned a spot on the all-conference first-team. Wosczyna led the league in scoring (5.88 ppg), goals (52), assists (42) and was also among the best in groundballs (3.56 gbpg) and caused turnovers (1.38 ctpg). Senior defenders Brooke Thomas (Whiteford, MD) and Kendra Finger (Boyertown, PA) were repeat selections to the second-team. Thomas is ranked third in the CAA with 2.94 ground-balls-per-game.
