Hensil To Represent ODU At North-South Senior All-Star Game
June 9, 2003 BALTIMORE, MD -- Lady Monarch midfielder Danielle Hensil (Havertown, PA) was one of 20 senior student-athletes selected to the South roster for the 2003 STX Farewell Lacrosse Festival Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game. The game will take place on Saturday, June 7th on Loyola's Curley Field. Hensil, a First Team All-CAA selection, was the only Lady Monarch to score in all 14 games in 2003. She finished her career ranked fourth on ODU's all-time points, goals, and assists leaders list after registering 38 goals, 10 assists, and 48 points this season. During the 2003 campaign, she performed a hat-trick eight times and scored three-game winners (UMBC, George Mason, James Madison). Additionally, she was first on the team in groundballs with 44 and tied for second on the team with 15 caused turnovers. Hensil was named the CAA Player of the Week and Inside Lacrosse.com National Player of the Week for the week ending March 16th after leading ODU to wins over then #20 Richmond, GMU, and #10 JMU with ten points, including three hat-tricks.
