Final Stats

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Rachael Carroll gave Old Dominion University women's soccer a 1-0 lead with her first career goal, but it was not enough as ODU fell to William and Mary 2-1 in the season finale Friday night.

Carroll gave the Lady Monarchs the lead in the 20th minute when her shot from the top of the box deflected inside the right post for the 1-0 lead. Ashley Kukura was credited with her first assist of the season.

William and Mary came back to tie the score in the 31st minute when Mallory Schaffer headed in a cross pass from Audrey Barry.

The Tribe collected the game-winner with 11 minutes to play when Schaffer again headed a shot in, this time from six yards out off assists from Diana Weigel and Lauren Gough.

The Tribe outshot ODU 27-16 and held a slim 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Victoria Johnson led the Lady Monarchs with four shots while Schaffer and Cortlyn Bristol led W&M with six apiece.

Brianna Alvarado made eight saves on the night for ODU while Grace Barnard made four for W&M.
