Henley Named CAA Women's Soccer Player Of The Week
Junior forward Jen Henley was named the CAA women's soccer
player of the week on Sept. 18 for her performance at the Tribe/Nike Soccer
Classic. Henley tallied one assist in the
Lady Monarchs win over UNC-Greensboro on Sept. 15 and scored two goals in their
win over Seton Hall on Sept. 17.
Henley is currently tied for first in scoring in the CAA with 6 goals and 3 assists for 15 points. She is currently the team's leading scorer and is just three points shy of becoming Old Dominion's all-time leader in points.
Henley finished her high school career at Central Bucks West with
a school record 70 goals and All-American status. In her first year
at Old Dominion, Henley broke the single-season points record (36
pts.) and finished in the top five of nearly every category en route
to being named a Freshman All-American. That team finished the season
at 11-7 and claimed the CAA regular season crown. So far this year,
the Lady Monarchs are 4-3, 0-1 CAA.
