Norfolk, VA (Sept. 20) - Junior forward Jen Henley (Chalfont, PA) and freshman Diane Baucom (Va. Beach, VA) each scored twice in leading the Lady Monarchs past George Washington, 5-0, on Sept. 20. Old Dominion's record improves to 5-3 with the win while the Colonials fall to 1-6 on the season.

Both Henley and Baucom scored all four goals within the first eleven minutes to put the game out of reach for the Colonials. Melanie McGovern (Somerdale, NJ) would add the final goal at 63:33 to close out the scoring. Henley, Amanda Pietila (Telford, PA), and Kasey Johnson (Va. Beach, VA) would each pick up an assist on the night.

Old Dominion dominated in shots, 23-5, and held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeepers Tonya Dedmond (North Potomac, MD) and Alison Kinsler (Va. Beach, VA) shared the shutout for the Lady Monarchs, while GW goalie Christine O'Malley recorded 10 saves in the loss.

With her five-point performance tonight (2 goals, 1 assist), Henley has moved into first place on the ODU career points list with 66, passing Jen Gillespie ('97). She currently has eight goals and four assists on the season.

Old Dominion will return to action on Sept. 22 when they travel to Virginia Tech.
