NORFOLK, VA (Sept. 27, 2000) -- The Old Dominion Lady Monarch soccer team topped Colonial Athletic Association rival East Carolina, 3-1, Wednesday evening at the ODU Soccer Complex on the campus of Old Dominion University. With the win, the Lady Monarchs improve to 7-4 overall/1-1 CAA. East Carolina falls to 6-3-1/0-2 CAA.

Old Dominion received scoring from three separate Lady Monarchs. Melanie McGovern (Somerdale, NJ), Jen Henley (Chalfont, Pa.), and Anna Gruzalski (Oak Ridge, TN) found the back of the net for the winners. It was Henley's ninth goal of the season.

Old Dominion will travel to James Madison for a 7 pm conference tilt this Friday evening.
