VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - (Nov. 3) Old Dominion sophomore defender Andi Rowe (Fairfax, VA) and senior midfielder Jessalyn Martin (Richmond, VA) earned All-CAA second team honors Wednesday as announced by the Colonial Athletic Association. The Lady Monarch soccer squad, 9-8-0 overall, 3-5-0 in the CAA and the number-six seed, will face number-three seed East Carolina (11-4-1, 5-2-1) on Wednesday at 7:30 pm in quarterfinal action of the CAA Tournament at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex.

Rowe, often asked to mark the opponents top scoring threat, has become one of the top defenders in the CAA in only her second season. She earns her first All-CAA honors after scoring two goals on the season. Martin, a 1998 All-CAA first team and All-Mid Atlantic Region honoree as a defender, moved to the midfielder position and scored five goals and added an assist for 11 points on the season.

CAA Tournament action began on Tuesday, with the play-in game featuring ninth-seeded Virginia Commonwealth and eighth-seeded American, at 3:00 pm. A full slate is scheduled on Wednesday with games at 12 noon, 2:30 pm, 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Semi-final action will be at 5 and 7:30 pm on Friday, with the championship game on Sunday at 1:30 pm.
