Women's Tennis Falls 7-0 at No. 48 Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Old Dominion University women's tennis dropped to 5-3 on the year with a 7-0 loss to No. 48 Penn State on Sunday afternoon. Penn State started out by earning the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Jacqueline Zuhse and Katherine Whiteaway were 8-2 winners at No. 2 while Carmen Sandor and Devan McCluskey had an 8-6 win at No. 3. In singles, ODU held tough, but the Nittany Lions were able to pick up all singles victories. No. 27 Petra Januskova defeated Nikol Hristova in a battle at No. 2, 6-4, 7-6 while Chelsea Utting beat Diana Ivanova 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1. Devan McCluskey won at No. 3 6-1, 6-3 while Carmen Sandor was a 6-4, 6-3 winner at No. 4 singles. Melissa Esnal Olguin battled at No. 5, but came up on the short end of a 7-5, 7-5 decision to Jacqueline. Nika Khmolovska fell at No. 6 singles, battling to a 7-6, 6-2 loss.
