RICHMOND, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's tennis team fell, 6-1, at No. 14 Virginia Commonwealth on Wednesday afternoon. The loss drops the Lady Monarchs to 6-2 overall with both losses coming against ranked teams in the ITA Poll.

Old Dominion's lone point came from junior Barbara Costa (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) at No. 3 singles. Costa defeated Viktoria Konstantinova, 7-6 (5), 6-4.

The Lady Monarch women's tennis team returns to action on Friday, February 16th when they host Howard at Center Court Racket Club in Newport News.
