ODU Women's Tennis Snaps Losing Streak With 5-2 Victory Over N.C. State

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - The Old Dominion women's tennis team snapped a five-game losing streak with a 5-2 victory over N.C. State over the weekend. The Lady Monarchs, which captured four singles victories and the double point, improved to 4-5 on the season. The Lady Monarchs captured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Senior Nataly Cahana and sophomore Coralie Herrmann blanked the Wolfpacks Kristin Lam and Vania Apodaca, 8-0, at No. 2 doubles while sophomore Kerstin Endlich and Barbara Kerner earned an 8-6 victory over Jennifer Jassawalla and Agustina Arechevalte at No. 3 doubles. Old Dominion picked up singles victories at the No. 1, No. 2, No.4, and No. 6 positions. No. 33 Nataly Cahana defeated Barbara Orlay 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Kerstin Endlich picked up a three-set, 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, win over Kristin Lam at No. 2 singles. At No. 4 singles, the Lady Monarchs' Larissa Santos downed Vania Apodaca, 6-4, 2-6, 7-5, and Coralie Herrmann earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Agustina Arechevaleta.
