Women's Tennis Falls in Tough Match at Marshall, 4-3

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis dropped a hard fought mastch at Marshall 4-3 Sunday afternoon. The Thundering Herd won the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Juliana Pires and Melissa Esnal Olguin won 8-4 at No. 2. Diana Ivanova picked up a win for ODU at No. 2 singles with a 6-2, 7-5 victory. Pires and Esnal Olguin were also victorious for ODU in singles. Nikol Hristova dropped a hard fought match in her first career match at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. Dana Oppinger was a 6-4, 6-4 winner at No. 3 over Ivana Vukovic. Karlyn Timko clinched the match for Marshall in a three-set battle over Nika Khmolovska at No. 6, 4-6, 7-6, 6-4.
