Lady Monarchs Win Over Temple in Women's Tennis Action, 5-2

NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion Lady Monarchs improved to 12-6 overall this season when they cruised past Temple today, 5-2. Junior Nadine Fahoum (Haifa, Israel) added another win to her stellar season, with 32 now in singles play. The Lady Monarchs' 19th ranked singles player, Fahoum, gave up just one game in her No. 1 singles match against the Owls' Josephine Bergman, winning 6-1, 6-0. Fahoum improves to 32-4 overall this season, including a 17-1 mark in dual matches. She also paired with Diana Ivanova for the first time since the fall season, winning at No.1 doubles, 8-4, over Anastasiia Rukavyshnykova and Theresa Stangl. ODU won the doubles point with a default at No. 3 and a tiebreak victory at No. 2 for Joanna Dobrowolska and Irina Dementyeva, 8-7 (5). In singles play, Fahoum's win was joined by a default win at No. 6, and straight set victories for Ivanova at No. 4 and Juliana Pires at No. 5.
