NORFOLK, VA -- The Old Dominion women's tennis team moved back into the win column with a 4-1 victory over former CAA rival Richmond on Friday evening to snap a five-match losing streak and improve to 7-11 overall. Due to weather conditions the two teams played only singles matches.

Three of the Lady Monarchs' four matches were won in straight sets. #22 Nataly Cahana dropped just one set en route to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Meghan Wolfgram at No. 1 singles. Freshman Kerstin Endlich handed Lindsay Cox a 6-3, 6-2 defeat at No. 3 singles, while rookie Verena Munzinger defeated Casey Cohen at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-4.

Freshman Coralie Herrmann won her opening set against Katie Karhohs at No. 4 singles, 6-2, but lost the second set, 6-7. She rebounded with a three set victory to win the match, 6-1.

The Spiders, who fall to 6-6 on the year, won their lone set at the No. 2 position with Vanessa Bagnato defeating Old Dominion senior Julia Sotiriu, 6-1, 6-2.
