Lady Monarchs Fall To #15 William And Mary, 5-2
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The 75th-ranked Old Dominion women's tennis team
dropped its first Colonial Athletic Association of the spring season
Thursday evening at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center in
Williamsburg with a 5-2 loss to area rival #15 William and Mary. The
Lady Monarchs fall to 1-1 overall (0-1 CAA) while William and Mary
improves to 2-0 (1-0 CAA).
Fourth-ranked Nataly Cahana (Qiriat Bialik, Israel) and Mily Kannarkat (Virginia Becah, Va.) collected wins for the Lady Monarchs at first and fourth singles respectively. The 29th-ranked doubles tandem of Cahana and Ana Radeljevic (Zagreb, Croatia) collected an 8-4 win at first doubles. Next up for the Lady Monarchs is the ITA National Indoors February 1-4. Cahana and Radeljevic will represent Old Dominion. On February 7, Old Dominion will host a 1 pm contest with Virginia at the Princess Anne Country Club.
