NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion University Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) took the time recently to come together and make "Warm & Fuzzy Treasure Kits" donated to the Salvation Army HOPE Program. The program provides emergency shelter, case management and referrals for women and children facing homelessness.

SAAC compiled materials including, but not limited to, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, crayons, coloring books, toys and "warm & fuzzy" stuffed animals. They were able to donate 48 packages to the Salvation Army, who uses the materials throughout the entire year.

According to the Salvation Army, the warm & fuzzy treasure kits are items that the child can call their own and take with them throughout their lives.
