Cross Country Defeats NSU

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA.-- Old Dominion University's women's cross country squad opened the season with a one-point victory over crosstown rival Norfolk State University, 10-11 in a six-mile relay at Mt. Trashmore. Leading the way for the Lady Monarchs was the team of Jen Myers (Wyckoff, NJ.) and Hollie Robinson (Va. Beach, Va.). They took second with a time of 40:15. Davitta Williams (Long Beach, CA.) and Jenny Cook (Mascoutah, IL) were third with a time of 40:27. The Spartanettes were led by Gitundu-White who came in first with a time of 37:38.
