WILLIAMSBURG, VA -- The Old Dominion cross-country team averaged 21:13.7 on the 5K course at Colonial Invitational this afternoon to place seventh overall with 193 points. Freshman Jen Myers (Wyckoff, NJ) paced the Lady Monarchs with Old Dominion's top finish in a time of 20:15.9 to place 33rd.

Virginia took the Colonial Invite crown with 41 points, while Delaware placed second with 44 points, and East Carolina took third with 71 points. The Pirates' Johanna Allen led all runners with a first place finish in a time of 18:09.8

Other top performances for the Lady Monarchs included freshman Jenny Cook (Mascoutah, IL) in 46th (20:52.8), senior Hollie Robinson (Va. Beach, VA) in 53rd (21:08.8), junior Teresa Brown (Colorado Springs, CO) in 59th (21:25.3), and junior Davitta Williams (Long Beach, CA) in 68th (22:25.8).

The Lady Monarch cross-country team will return to action next weekend at the Adidas/Mason Invitational in Centerville, VA. Race time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
